In bilayer screed, cellular concrete is used especially as insulating underlayer. As lightweight screed is used as trimming at pipes level as support of traditional screed, it reduces thickness and weight of. Lightweight concrete improves a lot the acoustic damping of noise, due to its discontinuous structure.
MONOLAYER SCREEDS
Monolayer screed is realized with cellular concrete at medium density (with sand) and it is possible to glue directly pavement on it. Cellular screed can have a density from 1000 to 1300 kg/m3.
